Scholastic Book Fair 

Book Fair Dates: 
April 25 - April 28th 

Join us for the Morfee Elementary Scholastic Bookfair happening digitally and in-person from April 25th to 28th. 

New This Year:
We now accept Debit and Visa, as well as cash. 

April 2022 Event - Lego! My Favorite Book

In the Morfee Library we are so excited about Spring and want to see your creativity bloom like all those beautiful new flowers! This month we will be hosting a Lego competition where you will have the chance to show your favorite scenes, characters, or book covers using nothing but, you guess it - LEGO! Lego creations will can be handed in to Mrs. March or Mrs. Sieben and displayed in the Library till the end of the month. Please see Mrs. March if you need to borrow Lego to make your creation!
Prizes: There will be certificates for participation, a draw to win some prizes for contestants, and a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winner as chosen by our panel of judges. 

Celebrating International Woman's Day - March

Students will be given the opportunity to design a butterfly (the symbol for International Woman's Day) for our Bulletin Board that depicts the name of a woman or girl in their lives that they want to honour. This can be someone who inspires them, helps them, or is special to them.  
In the Library - Check out our collection of stories and graphic novels written by female authors, stories depicting strong female characters, and historical texts about women who changed the world!

Reading Trees from January 2022 to February 2022

Our Reading Trees program allows students to add a leaf or an acorn to their Division's Tree every time they finish a book or story. Can you find any titles that you have read or any familiar names? 

Morfee Elementary Annual Pumpkin Carving Contest 

October 29th, 2021 
Bring a pumpkin you have carved and enter it into our annual Pumpkin Carving Contest! All entries will be displayed in the Morfee Gym and all classes will be given a time to come check them out! This year's contest is judged and organized by Mrs. March so please come see her in the library if you have any questions!
Note: Any pumpkins not picked up by the 4:00pm will be given to the city recycling program and used as fertilizer. Prizes will be given out at the end of the day! All participants will receive a certificate and Thank You!

Rainbow Club

Morfee Elementary Rainbow Club

This student-led organization meets every Wednesday during lunchtime in the Library to discuss way to spread kindness, foster acceptance of all school and community members, and create leadership activities for our school. Everyone is welcome! 
ActivitiesJoin us for Just Dance Parties, Yoga, Book Talks, Games, and the opportunity to make new friends! Leadership meetings happen every Monday at lunchtime in Mrs. Cook's room to come up with new ideas for games, event organization, and leadership opportunities. 

Drama Club

Morfee Elementary Drama Club

Come join our Drama Club located in the Library after school on Wednesdays from 3:00- 4:00pm. Please note that you will need to get a permission slip from Mr. Ratcliffe, Mrs. Cook, or the Office to participate. 
Activities: Learn improve skills, public speaking, drama games, and make new friends with similar interests.

Morfee Elementary Recycling Club

Are you a student from Rainbow Club that's interested in our planet and environment. Then the Morfee Elementary Recycling Club is for you. Once a week Friday sign ups available for collecting classroom recycling with a partner, and Mrs. March overseeing.
Note: All funds raised will be split between the 
Rainbow Club for a year-end celebration and a charity of the club's choice. See Ms. March for sing-up sheet and more information.
